Salta - City Tour
Breakfast at the Hotel. City Tour in Salta. Ascent of Cerro San Bernardo. We will visit the Cathedral, the Church of San Francisco, the Town Hall and the Historic Museum of the North, the craft market and the San Bernardo Hill.

The Church of San Francisco is a magnificent Franciscan temple with fine architecture ornaments. The Town Hall was built in different periods, but has a predominant Baroque style. Looms and silver objects can be bought at the handicraft market.
Salta - Train to the Clouds
Breakfast at the hotel. Train to the Clouds - transfers to the station included (the train is open all Saturdays from April to November. The rest of the year it is replaced by the Safari to the Clouds (4x4 trucks), Salinas Grandes y Purmamarca are included in the journey. We'll take the Train of the Clouds to go to the viaduct La Polvorilla, ascending up to 4,220 metres above the sea level.

This railroad of incredible engineering was created in 1941 to be used by heavy trains to carry minerals. It travels 220 km crossing valleys, canyons and the Puna and goes through places like the Quebrada del Toro, the zigzag of Alisal station and the La Polvorilla viaduct.

At the Alisal station, the train changes to a parallel track and the locomotive goes to the back of the train to lead it inside a tunnel. Once it crosses the tunnel the locomotive goes back to normal position. During the year, the aborigines sell their crafts, especially ponchos.
Quebrada de Humahuaca - Iruya
Breakfast at the hotel. Full-day excursion to Quebrada de Humahuaca and pre-Hispanic towns. We'll leave Salta to make for San Salvador de Jujuy, where we will briefly visit the city. Then we will go on to the road that communicates Reyes with the lagoons of Yala, our first stop, to visit the lagoon in the base of the Chani Hill.

These 12 lagoons are 2000 metres above the sea level, surrounded by forests of pine trees. We'll leave Yala and El Volcán, towns that are next to the hills of Abra Blanca, Santuyo and Manzano, behind to go to Tumbaya, a place where the Omaguacas lived. Purmamarca: Here we will be able to delight in one of the greatest beauties of the Northwest: Cerro de los Siete Colores ("Hill of the Seven Colours").

First we will pass through Posta de Hornillos and Maimará, in the centre of the canyon. We'll see the multicoloured hills that complete the "Paleta del Pintor" (Painter´s Palet). We'll turn north, to go to Tilcara where we will visit the fabled Pucará.

Pucará is the reconstruction of the town of the pre-Hispanic Omaguacas, a culture that lived 900 years ago. Before reaching Humahuaca, we'll take a quick look at Huacalera and Uquía.

Then we will go to Iruya trough the Iturbe town, and the Condor bay (which is 4.200m above sea level), where we will be able to appreciate the cultivation terraces used by the citizens of the area.

Once in Iruya, we will make a city tour and will spend the night there. Iruya is a dreamed town. The church, houses, and stone little streets talk about the typical lifestyle of the people who live there, protecting the town from the din of the big cities.
Purmamarca. San Antonio de los Cobres Great Salines
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we will go to Purmamarca (Seven Colors Mountain). After that we will direct to Great Salines, trough the Lipan slope (at 4.170m above sea level).

Once in Great Salines, well visit the pools where the salt is extracted and we will visit salt built restaurant. Then we will direct to San Antonio de los Cobres, trough the National Route Nº 40, trough the plateau salto-jujeño, where we will be able to appreciate the native fauna.

After going over San Antonio de los Cobres we will continue our trip to National Route Nº 51, visiting Santa Rosa de Tastil, with its ruins and archaeological museum; the "Quebrada de las Cuevas", "Alfajorcito", "Chorrillos", "Quebrada del Toro", and Quijano Fields to finish our tour in the city of Salta.
Cachi
Breakfast in the hotel. Tour of 320km visiting different landscapes, such as "Cuesta del Obispo", and ancient Indian road, Lerma Valley tobacco plantations, and the "QUebrada del Escoipe".

The tour includes the National Park "Los Cardones", through the Tin Tin Rect, also and ancient Indian road; to get to Pavogasta (from Cacán white town). There the way slips between colourful plantations of pepper, descending smoothly to Cachi, framed by the imposing snowed that reaches 6.384m above sea level.

This forms the limit between the desert Puna and the fertile Calchaquí Valleys. Cachi stands for the numerous pre-Hispanic deposits, its archaeological pieces and mortuary ballot boxes where ancient Indian culture relay. In the evening we will return to the city of Salta.
San Juan
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Salta Airport. Reception to domestic airport (Buenos Aires). Reception and transfer from San Juan Airport to the hotel.
Fertile Valley and Moon Valley (Provincial Park of Ischigualasto)
Breakfast at the Hotel. Whole day trip to Fertile Valley and Moon Valley. Ischigualasto is an enormous paleontology deposit from the triassic period of the mesozoic era (about 250 million years). Because of the relief's morphology it is best known as the Moon Valley.

Nature acted for years over the stones from the place, modeling huge natural sculptures, as a result of wind, rain and temperature erosion. The massifs were first eroded on their thinest layers, creating this way odd shapes. As an example, El Submarino, has one of the most popular shapes of the Park.
Talampaya's Canyon
Breakfast at the Hotel. Whole day trip to Talampaya's Canyon. It has been declared World Heritage by UNESCO. Talampaya, is a complete sample of on of the less represented native ecosystems in the National System of Protected Natural Areas: the forest. Along the Canyon of the Talampaya River, there are ancient carob woods, framed between large thick walls, almost 100 meters tall, that make the place unique.

A thirteen meters long mural full of petroglifos, perhaps the biggest ever known, together with other ones on the place, represent a cultural heritage of an enormous value that should be protected forever, so as future generations may see them. We can find in the area sedimentary deposits from the Permian period and the Triassic period plentiful of fossils, specially of great amphibians and reptiles.
Valles Iglesianos
Breakfast at the Hotel. We will leave from Cuesta de Huaco to Jáchal. We will visit the Dique Cuesta del Viento and all the towns of the Valles Iglesianos, like Rodeo, Las Flores, Iglesia, Tudcum. We will have lunch in Finca el Martillo. We will lodge in Termas de Pismanta.
Valles Calingastinos & Barreal
Breakfast at the Hotel. We will visit the Guañizul Ranch where we will be able to have free time to enjoy the charm and the magic of the place. We will make a country lunch. Then crossing Quebrada de las Burras, we will arrive to the Calingastinos Valleys and to the Barreal town.
Pampa El Leoncito
Breakfast at the hotel. We will visit Pampa El Leoncito, and the Astronomic Observatory Cesco. We will have some free time to do walkings, horse ridings or buy some souvenirs. Then we will return to San Juan.
Mendoza
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from San Juan to Mendoza City.
Wine Cellar's visit - The Wine Route
Breakfast at the hotel.We'll make a trip across the Wine Route. This journey will allow us to walk among vineyards, learn how this delicious elixir is prepared from the beginning and enjoy a great "asado" together with 5 different kinds of wine to taste, in a wine cellar called La Agrícola-Santa Julia.
Mendoza - High Mountain
Breakfast at the hotel. During the trip we can see the Potrerillos dike. 100 Kms (62 miles) away from the capital city we can find Uspallata, which is where the huarpe's native occupation took place during the prehispanic era. We'll then visit the villages of Picheuta, Polvaredas and Punta de Vacas, from where we may reach the famous village of Los Penitentes.

Farther on, in Puente del Inca, 2.720 meters over sea level, Las Cuevas river has drilled the mountain forming this way a natural bridge from where thermal water emerges from the edge. Nearby we can find the Mountain Climbers Cemetery. Close to the frontier, a wonderful natural viewpoint allows us to see the Aconcagua Hill in all it's splendor.

An unpaved road which starts at the International Route, allows entering the beautiful Horcones Lagoon and the Provincial Park of Aconcagua. If weather helps, we will be able to climb up to Cristo Redentor Monument, 4.200 meters up.
Atuel River Canyon & Big Valley
Breakfast at the Hotel. Full day trip to the Great Atuel Canyon and Big Valley. After crossing the North Oasis and the Uco Valley, we will arrive to San Rafael's village, in the South of Mendoza. There we will walk around Villa 25 de Mayo, an old city that is the head of the whole area, uraníferas mines area, with great views of the Galileo Vitale dikes and The Nihuil.

Then we will see the beautiful Atuel Canyon with its imposing and colorful geoform, nature work that in thousands of years has presented astonishing figures: The Castle, The Ghost, the Cathedral and others. A terraqueous globe fail that as others (Great Canyon of the Colorado) astonish the visitors for their incredible magnitude and variety of colors. We will arrive to Big Valley Dike and Atuel River.

There the most daring ones can carry out a frefalling in inflatable rafts for the River or doing trekking activities. In San Rafael we Hill do a short visit, visiting the typical places.
